The Roque de Taborno is a remarkable feature of the Anaga Massif. It is also referred to as Taborno or the Anaga Fortress and stands 706 meters high. This large basalt rock is the product of erosion of the land close to it and is perched on a hill that divides the Taborno and Tamadiste ravines. Astonishingly, this enormous column of volcanic stone has withstood the test of time for many centuries.
To get to Roque de Taborno, one must take a trail that goes through the Anaga Massif. When you get to the top, you can take in the beautiful sight of the Atlantic Ocean and the lush green of the island. Nature and geology lovers should not miss out on Roque de Taborno, as its grandeur, combined with the breathtaking views and the journey of the hike, will stay with you as an unforgettable memory.
