The Derriscaderos Natural Monument of Tenerife

The Derriscaderos Natural Monument is located in the of Granadilla de Abona, in the south of the island of Tenerife.

It is a natural area of Tenerife of great scientific, geological and geomorphological interest. The result of the Explosive Eruptions was the cause of the creation of this Natural Area.

In this landscape of volcanic origin, you will be surrounded by the spectacular pumice stone, with its peculiar light colors.

Tenerife experienced its last eruption in 1909 and it was as a consequence of the Chinyero volcano. It was an eruption that lasted ten days, it did not cause damage to the population.
